Boris Etter, lic.iur. HSG, Attorney at law, LL.M., LL.M.

Boris Etter studied business administration and law at the University of St. Gallen HSG, graduated in 1996 as lic.iur. HSG and was admitted to the Zurich Bar in 1998. In 2000, Boris Etter received an LL.M. from the College of Europe in Bruges and in 2002, as a Fulbright Scholar, an LL.M. from the University of Chicago. At Chicago (Law School and Graduate Business School), Boris Etter specialized in private equity, venture capital and new venture strategy. Among others, he studied at the Graduate Business School with Prof. Steven N. Kaplan (Entrepreneurial Finance and Private Equity).

Between 1996 and 2004, Boris Etter worked for two large Zurich business law firms (Pestalozzi Attorneys-at-Law and Homburger), dealing with general aspects of business and contract law as well as with national and international labor law, white collar crime, private equity and venture capital, mergers & acquisitions, corporate law, joint ventures, commercial law and contract law.

Boris Etter has authored various national and international scientific publications and is co-editor and co-author of "Stämpflis Handkommentar zum Arbeitsrecht" (Bern 2021, ISBN 978-3-7272-3510-8) as well as author of the reference books "Handkommentar zum Medizinalberufegesetz MedBG" (Bern 2006, ISBN 3-7272-2534) and, together with Prof. Dr. Rolf H. Weber, "Die medizinische Aktiengesellschaft - Rechtsfragen der Unternehmensorganisation und der Unternehmensführung" (Bern 2007, ISBN 978-3-7272-2310-5) as well as co-author in "Stämpflis Handkommentar zum Waffengesetz (WG)" (Bern, 2017, ISBN 978-3-72-72-5156-6).

Boris Etter regularly publishes on criminal law on his legal blog strafrechtonline.ch and on labor law on arbeitsrechtplus.ch.

Boris Etter is a regular speaker in the legal field and a lecturer at KALAIDOS in Zurich in the areas of employment law and business law.

Since 2004, Boris Etter has been active as an entrepreneur in the areas of legal advice, business law, health law and media. Among other things, he is the owner of the legal magazine LAWSTYLE®. Boris Etter therefore understands the client not only from the legal side, but also from the entrepreneurial side. He is well connected in Zurich and beyond, especially in the areas of criminal law and employment law.
